Posting and Filling of Positions. 9:01 All vacancies, temporary vacancies and new positions subsequently opened which come under the scope of this Agreement, shall be advertised for a period of five (5) full working days in each school. A copy of the posting will be sent to and posted in each school; in addition a copy will be emailed to a Union contact in each school. The bulletin shall show location, title, rate of pay and hours of work of the position being advertised. Notice of vacancies that take place during July and August will be mailed to the employeesmost recent home address filed with the Employer. Employees seeking the posted position(s) shall file his/her application with the Employer on or before the closing date specified in the posting.

The successful applicant on a bid job shall be considered to be on trial for a period not exceeding thirty (30) work days. An employee, who fails to qualify for the job, shall be returned to his former classification. An employee must decide during the first five (5) work days (ten (10) work days for jobs in groups and 5) of his trial period if he wishes to continue on the job or return to his former classification. An employee may bid on any job opening, but be the successful applicant only three (3) times during any twelve (12) month period, commencing with the date of his first successfuljob bid. However, a successful applicant of in groups or may not bid again for a period of twelve months from the date of his successful bid.
