POS Purchases. You are limited to 20 point-of-purchase (POS) transactions you may make on any day during a statement period. No purchase may exceed the available funds in your account, unless authorized by the Credit Union. The Credit Union reserves the right to refuse any transaction which would draw upon insufficient funds, lower an account below a required balance, or otherwise require us to increase our required reserve on the account. The Credit Union may set other limits on the amount of any transaction, and those limits may change from time to time. The Credit Union may refuse to honor any transaction for which you do not have sufficient available verified funds.
POS Purchases. You may use your Card to purchase goods and services any place your Card is honored by participating merchants, including Point of Sale (POS) terminals within the ACCEL/INTERLINK networks or such other POS terminals as the Credit Union may designate. Funds to cover your Card purchases will be deducted from your checking account. If the balance in your account is not sufficient to pay the transaction amount, the Credit Union may treat the transaction as an overdraft request pursuant to the overdraft protection plan or may terminate all services under the Agreement.
POS Purchases. A cardholder may use the card to purchase goods and services from merchants that accept Visa Debit Cards or merchants that participate in any network that the Bank has an agreement with. Some merchants may refuse to accept your card as payment for goods or services, and we are not responsible or liable for their actions. If a cardholder authorizes a POS purchase, the purchase will be processed using primary checking account funds. If the Bank receives an electronic notice that a POS transaction has occurred, a hold may be placed on the account designated as the primary transaction account. The hold will be for the actual amount of the purchase or, depending on the merchant’s practice, for the anticipated amount of the purchase (which may be greater or less than the actual amount of the purchase), or for a pre-established amount in excess of individual transactions (for example, hotel or car reservations). The held funds may not be available for other account purposes, and we have the right to return checks or other items drawn against your account to maintain sufficient funds to pay for any previously authorized transactions. You agree to maintain sufficient available funds on deposit in the account to cover all authorized transactions. The hold may continue even if you do not purchase any goods or services for which authorization was obtained. The hold may remain in effect from the time the notice is received until the merchant draft or other payment data is presented. The amount of each POS transaction will be deducted from the available funds in that designated account. Some POS merchants may assess a fee for a purchase made at their location. A sign describing any fee should be posted by the merchant. This fee will be included in the total purchase amount shown on the Bank account statement linked to the card and reflected on the receipt issued at the time of the transaction. Since your card is not a credit card, if you have a dispute with the merchant regarding the quality, price, warranty or otherwise of the goods or services you purchase with your card, you will have to settle your dispute with the merchant directly. We are not responsible for a merchant’s actions, including any misrepresentations by a merchant.

Some merchants may permit you to initiate debit transactions with your Card using either the VISA network or another network shown on your Card. The Credit Union will honor your debit transactions processed by any of these networks. Transactions processed over the VISA network do not require you to use your PIN to validate the transaction. Generally, you will sign a receipt, provide your card number (e.g. Internet, mail or telephone transactions), or swipe your card at a terminal. Also, there are certain protections and rights such as the zero liability protections in Section 5 (Member Liability) applicable only to VISA processed transactions. Transactions processed over other networks may not require you to use your PIN in order to validate a transaction. Generally, you enter your card number or swipe your card and provide or enter a PIN. However, some merchants may not require you to provide a PIN, and allow you to choose whether the transaction is processed by VISA or another network. Provisions applicable only to VISA transactions (such as VISA’s zero liability protections) will not apply to non-VISA debit transactions and the liability rules for other EFTs in Section 5 (Member Liability) will apply.
POS Purchases. A cardholder may use the card to purchase goods and services from participating retailers and service providers. If the cardholder enters a PIN to authorize the POS purchase from participating merchants or service providers, the purchase will be processed through a network in which the Bank participates. Participating merchants may choose to offer cash back as part of the total purchase amount for such PIN-based transactions. If a cardholder signs a receipt or provides a form of authorization other than the PIN to authorize the POS purchase, the purchase will be processed via the Visa network using primary checking account funds. For purchases processed via Visa, there is no cash back feature. Stop payments may not be requested on POS transactions. Some POS merchants may assess a fee for a purchase made at their location. A sign describing any fee should be posted by the merchant. This fee will be included in the total purchase amount shown on the Bank account statement linked to the card and reflected on the receipt issued at the time of the transaction. This fee does not apply when using a debit card to make signature-based purchases. If your daily POS purchases are greater than five thousand and 00/00 dollars ($5000), you may request a limit increase from your local branch of the bank.
