The parties to this agreement have a desire to provide the highest quality of education service possible. Within the terms of this collective agreement all references to the feminine or masculine gender shall include both masculine and feminine, except in the provision of parenting leave. The parties agree that in the event of a conflict between this agreement and relevant legislation and their regulations, they will be read in such a way as to harmonize with the collective agreement unless the operation of the latter is clearly excluded.
