Polymeric Patching Material. Submit for approval a statement from the manufacturer identifying the recommended equipment and installation procedures. Remove the deteriorated concrete to the dimensions shown on the plans or as directed. Dry and abrasive blast the repair area to ensure it is free from moisture, dirt, grease, oil, or other foreign material that may reduce the bond. Remove dust from the abrasive blasting operation. Apply primer to the repair area in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations. Reapply primer if conditions change before placing patching material. Mix, place, and cure in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations. Begin placement of material at the lower end of sloped areas. Screed polymeric patching material to conform to the roadway surface. Provide a non-skid finish with a notched trowel.
