Political Instability. Political or military events involving a Host Country such that the Appropriate Authorities issue an Advisory ordering the departure of all Home Country governmental personnel in non-emergency positions and their dependants from the Host Country, or such that the Insured receives direct instructions or recommendation to evacuate from the Appropriate Authorities. All such interrelated events will be considered a single event and all losses arising from it will be considered a single loss. Provisions applicable to section B7 1 Where the Insured Person is entitled to a refund on an unused ticket, the Company will be entitled to deduct the value of the unused portion from any claim.

  • Political Event A Political Event shall mean one or more of the following acts or events by or on account of any Government Instrumentality:

  • Political Activity An employee shall not use his or her official authority for the purpose of interfering with or affecting the nomination or election of any candidate for public office. An employee shall not command or solicit in a coercive fashion from any other employee direct or indirect participation in any political activity or enforce or solicit in a coercive fashion contribution for any political party, organization, or candidate. An employee shall retain his or her right to vote and freely express opinions on all political subjects.   • Political Activities Grant funds cannot be used for the following activities:

  • Political Action No Employee shall be disciplined for participation in any political action(s) called for by the Canadian Labour Congress, its affiliates, or subordinate bodies.

  • Political Leave Any employee who is a declared candidate for public office shall have the right to a leave of absence without pay for a reasonable period to campaign for the election. Such leave is subject to the conditions governing special leaves of absence without pay contained herein.

  • Political Contributions The Company has not directly or indirectly, (a) made any unlawful contribution to any candidate for public office, or failed to disclose fully any contribution in violation of law, or (b) made any payment to any federal, state, local, or foreign governmental officer or official, or other person charged with similar public or quasi-public duties, other than payments required or permitted by the laws of the United States or any other such jurisdiction.

  • Non-Political Event A Non-Political Event shall mean one or more of the following acts or events:

  • Political Contribution Disclosure The Contractor shall comply with the Maryland Code Annotated, Election Law Article, §§14-101—14-108, which requires that every person that enters into contracts, leases or other agreements with the State, a county, or an incorporated municipality, or their agencies, during a calendar year in which the person receives in the aggregate $100,000 or more, shall file with the State Board of Elections a statement disclosing contributions in excess of $500 made during the reporting period to a candidate for elective office in any primary or general election. The statement shall be filed with the State Board of Elections: (1) before a purchase or execution of a lease or contract by the State, a county, an incorporated municipality, or their agencies, and shall cover the preceding two calendar years; and (2) if the contribution is made after the execution of a lease or contract, then twice a year, throughout the contract term, on: (a) February 5, to cover the 6-month period ending January 31; and (b) August 5, to cover the 6-month period ending July 31.

  • Political Activity Prohibited a. None of the funds, materials, property or services provided directly or indirectly under this contract shall be used for partisan political activity.
