Common use of PLANT HOLIDAYS Clause in Contracts

PLANT HOLIDAYS. 17.01 The following Plant Holidays shall be observed: New Year’s Day Labour Day Family Day Thanksgiving Day Good Friday Christmas Day Victoria Day Boxing Day Canada Day Civic Holiday When Christmas falls on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, Boxing Day may be observed on the regularly scheduled work day before or after the day on which Christmas Day is observed, at the discretion of Management. The Company also agrees to institute two (2) Floating Holidays per calendar year to be taken on a date mutually agreeable to the Company and the employee(s) concerned. It is agreed that Floating Holidays may not be carried forward from one calendar year to the next. Plant Holidays shall be paid at the employee’s regular rate when not worked.
