Planned Absences. Employees will obtain prior approval from their department heads or Deans for planned absences. If approved, the department head or Xxxx will determine whether the absence will be with pay or without pay. In the case of planned absences with pay, employees will normally make alternate arrangements to fulfill their assigned duties. These arrangements must be approved by the department head or Xxxx, or executive director of the Centre for Continuing and Distance Education or their designate.
Planned Absences. Employees are expected to provide their manager with as much notice as possible when using PTO for medical appointments, PTO or other planned activities. Consistent with paragraph (C)(1)(a), certain days or periods of days may be foreclosed by Annually Scheduled PTO. Intervening Planned Absences, vacancies, staffing changes, or unforeseen events may further restrict available time. Planned PTO may be denied, when in the manager’s judgment, it is necessary for the efficient operation of the department. Individuals opting to not preschedule all their PTO as provided in Paragraph (C)(1)(a), acknowledge they will be subject to the needs of the business in requesting to use said time.
Planned Absences.  Parents are discouraged from taking children out of school for vacation during the school year. Even though some written work may be completed, there is no way to make up class discussions and presentations.  If work is requested prior to an extended absence, students are expected to turn in the requested work the day that they return to school from the absence. Unplanned Absences/Illness  Students will be given one day for each day that they are absent to make up the work. After the absence grace period, it will be considered late work.  Students are to report to their homeroom teacher the morning following the absence and get the absent work form. Students are then to meet with each teacher during class time to receive assignments and schedule make-up tests. Lunch/Recess Procedures  Students should not bring homework or books to lunch/recess.  Students are expected to clean up their lunch mess.  Students will keep their conversation and noise at an appropriate level.  Lights Out = IMMEDIATE SILENCE. Talking after lights out will result in graduated consequences. Dismissal Procedures  Students are expected to clean up classroom, check agenda, and collect papers and whatever else the teacher directs.  Teachers will dismiss students to the lockers to gather their books and then line up for dismissal.  Students will be dismissed from their last hour class to either to the parking lot or the ACED program in the auditorium. Parents MUST come into the gym to pick up the students on inclement weather days.  Students are expected to wait for their carpool in the parking lot directly in front of the North Exit door. Students are not allowed to wander around the parking lot. Beverages/snacks may not be purchased after school and ACED participants need to be in the auditorium and not in the parking lot.  Students will not be allowed to return to the building once dismissed.  All students must have exited the building by 3:15.  Any student waiting for a pick up after 3:15 will be sent to the ACED program.

In the event that instructors cannot teach a particular class session due to reasons known in advance, they should seek approval from a program director of R110 or the chair of the Department of Communication Studies.

Planned Absences. If a Specific Service User is absent from the Specific Service User Address due to a Planned Absence the Commissioner will use all reasonable endeavours to provide at least 36 hours’ notice of such absence or as much notice as reasonable practicable (except in the case of emergency) whereupon the Specific Services will be suspended (and no hourly rate shall be payable) for the duration of the Planned Absence and reinstated thereafter provided that this period is no longer than 4 (four) weeks and that there is no substantial variation to the Individual Support Plan. No Retainer Payment will be paid for Planned Absences.

On a Student’s final day prior to commencing a leave of absence, any College issued device must be returned to the Centre for Computing and Communications (CCC). Should the parent(s) elect to retain the device throughout the leave of absence period, approval must be granted by the Principal. Upon approval, the full payout fee for the device will be charged.

  • Leaves of Absences 14.01 Written requests for personal leaves of absence without pay for educational or personal reasons will be considered on an individual basis by the nurse’s manager or her designate. Such requests are to be submitted as far in advance as possible with a minimum notice of four (4) weeks except in cases of emergency or if the Employer determines that service needs and staffing requirements can accommodate a leave on shorter notice. A written reply will be given as soon as possible. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld. Except in unusual circumstances, a leave of absence other than for educational reasons will not be granted until one year’s continuous service has been completed.
