Planned Absence. If you know you are going to miss a lesson, you must complete a Green absence form which can be found in the entrance to the Study Centre. It is your responsibility to inform your teacher and arrange to get the work to catch up on. Students travelling between sites also need to swipe in on arrival and out as they leave both schools. Students who persistently forget to use their swipe cards may be placed on attendance report.

If a student is repeatedly late or misses lessons then they may find themselves placed in a one-hour detention. Planned Absence. Attending a medical or dental appointment will be counted as authorised as long as the pupil’s parent/carer notifies the school in advance of the appointment. However, we encourage parents/carers to make medical and dental appointments out of school hours where possible (see also section 3). Where this is not possible, the pupil should be out of school for the minimum amount of time necessary. The pupil’s parent/carer must also apply for other types of term-time absence as far in advance as possible of the requested absence. Go to section 5 to find out which term-time absences the school can authorise.
Planned Absence. After first 30 days of employment you will be able to accrue unpaid time off to use throughout the year. These must be scheduled and approved using the Time-Off Request Form and given to a manager or Admin.
