Placement of Teachers. No later than October 15 of each year, the District shall furnish the Association with the placement of teachers on the salary schedule as of October 1 of that year.

Placement of Teachers. 1. The salary schedule has been compressed therefore steps do not necessarily represent years of experience. Initial placement of a teacher entering the Telluride School District will be determined by the Principal or Superintendent. Teachers new to the district will be placed on the salary matrix based upon their verifiable years of prior teaching experience up to a maximum of 15 years. In no instance shall new teachers entering the District be placed higher than their verifiable years of prior teaching experience.
Placement of Teachers. The Superintendent of Schools will be responsible for evaluating and crediting of past experience, service and training and determining the placement of new teachers and temporary teachers who transfer to permanent positions. The Superintendent of Schools will be fair and equitable in exercising his/her authority under this provision.
