Common use of Physical Plant Clause in Contracts

Physical Plant. The Department agrees to provide the following physical equipment and work environment for users of VDTs: (a) when requested by the employee, effective glare screens shall be affixed to the front of such machines; (b) adjustable chairs, footrests and tables to allow for adjustment of individual machines; (c) optimal lighting conditions adapted to accommodate the types of equipment in use at each work site; and, (d) prior to the acquisition of additional or replacement VDTs, the Department agrees to meet and consult with the Union about such equipment.
