PGY1 Appointment. PGY1 is hereby appointed to participate in the Internal Medicine graduate medical education (“GME”) training program (the “Program”) as post graduate year (PGY) PGY1 for the period beginning July 1, 2017 (“Start Date”) and ending upon the earlier of June 30, 2018 (“End Date”), which period shall be referred to as the “Training Period.” As used in this Agreement, the term Program shall mean the legal entity Hospital, on behalf of its residency programs, and references to Hospital shall mean both the legal entity as well as the Program.

The University may enclose informational addenda, except that such addenda may not abridge the employee's rights or benefits provided in the BOT-UFF Agreement or BOT- UFF Policies. All academic year appointments for employees at a University shall begin on the same date. Two weeks prior to the beginning of classes each semester, the University shall send to the UFF Chapter a list of bargaining unit employees hired since the beginning of the previous semester, showing name; rank or title; department, college, program or employment unit; salary; and principal place of employment (campus). The initial letter of offer shall contain the following elements:

  • Faculty Appointments 5.4.1 On successful completion of the probationary period (unless 6.4 applies), a faculty employee shall be offered a faculty appointment. A faculty appointment means that the appointment shall be continued unless there are exceptional circumstances as specified in 8.4.1 or 6.4.

  • Continuing Appointment A continuing appointment shall continue until retirement or until otherwise terminated pursuant to this Agreement.

  • Adjunct Appointments The use of adjuncts at a university shall, upon the request of the UFF Chapter representatives, be a subject of consultation under the provisions of Article 2.1, Consultation.

  • Term Appointments 16.3.4.1 A Term appointment carries no implication of renewal or continuation beyond the contractually limited term. A person holding a Term appointment may apply for a Probationary or Continuing appointment if such a position is available.

  • Initial Appointments The Company appoints the Trustee as the initial Paying Agent, the initial Registrar and the initial Conversion Agent.

  • Regular Appointment The authorized appointment of an individual to a position covered by Civil Service.

  • Provisional Appointment An employee with provisional status shall have no right to grieve or arbitrate release from such a provisional appointment.
