Personal/Sick Leave Accrual. Sick leave shall accrue on a payroll period basis at the rate of six hours per month commencing on the date of hire. After four full years of service, employees shall accrue sick leave on a payroll period basis at the rate of eight hours per month. Xxxx leave may be taken for the employee's own illness, injury, or medical appointment or for the illness, injury, or medical appointment of his or her child, spouse, sibling, parent, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandchild, grandparent or stepparent. Each year an employee may take up to 24 hours of sick leave for personal reasons when staffing and other departmental needs permit, in accordance with past practice. Sick leave is subject to accrual to a maximum of 130 days (1040 hours) and may be used at a minimum increment of two hours a day.

  • Personal Sick Leave The following provisions will apply to all employees (other than casual employees) covered by this Agreement.

  • Sick Leave Accrual Full-time employees will accrue eight (8) hours of sick leave in a calendar month. Part- time employees will accrue sick leave credit on the same proportional basis that their employment schedule bears to a full-time schedule, up to a maximum of eight (8) hours in a calendar month.

  • Personal Leave Accrual All employees shall accrue personal leave at the rate of one and twenty-three hundredths (1.23) hours for each eighty (80) hours in active pay status, excluding overtime hours, not to exceed a total of thirty-two (32) hours accrued in one year.

  • Leave Accrual After the first 30 days of active military service in any one calendar year, employees shall not accrue City-paid vacation, holiday, or sick leave benefits or other forms of paid leave; provided, however, that any public employee on military leave for intermittent training periods shall continue to accrue the same vacation, sick, and holiday leave up to a maximum period of 180 cumulative days per calendar year as if the employee had not been on military leave.

  • Additional Sick Leave In unusual cases of prolonged illness the Township Committee may, by resolution, grant Sick Leave at one-half (½) rate of pay to an Employee over the time allowed and available for use in Section 2. hereinbefore set forth in this Article to a maximum of twenty-six
