Personal Mobile Devices.  Personal or mobile devices are allowed to access Chilliwack School District information technology resources unless the device has not been approved for use by the district.  Student personal or mobile devices are allowed to be used on the Chilliwack School District network unless not permitted to do so by district staff.  Personal or mobile devices, whether owned by student or district and connected to Chilliwack School District information technology resources, must be used in compliance with all parts of the Chilliwack School District Acceptable Use Agreement.  Personal or mobile device access to Chilliwack School District information technology resources may be limited to balance availability with need at the discretion of the district.

Personal Mobile Devices. The Superintendent or designee shall make available to all students the opportunity to connect an approved personal technological device to the District provided guest wireless network for academic purposes. Students using their own device to connect to the guest wireless network must do so with their District issued individual account. If applicable, the personal device must have current anti-virus software installed before accessing the network. The device may be used in the classroom or learning space for academic purposes only. The individual school site may provide direction on expectations of utilization and device specifications, with guidance from the technology department and legal. The Superintendent or designee shall establish guidelines for schools to implement “Bring Your Own Device” programs with clear procedures on ensuring equity of access and compliancy with Education Code 49011, prohibiting required student fees to participate in an educational activity. The use of personal mobile devices, such as laptops, Smartphones, tablets, etc., by students on campus is subject to all applicable District policies and regulations concerning technology use, as well as the following rules and understandings: • Permission to have a mobile device at school is contingent upon parent/guardian understanding this agreement except as required by Education Code section 48901.5(b) • All costs for data plans and fees associated with mobile devices are the responsibility of the student. The District does not require the use of personal mobile devices in any instructional setting but may allow their use to enhance learning. • Schools supporting subject or grade level programs where students participate in a Bring Your Own Device program will provide equity devices, equivalent to the current District standard, to ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate. • Mobile devices with Internet access capabilities which are being harnessed for classroom learning purposes are required to use the District filtered guest network. • Students are required to use their District issued individual account to access the guest wireless network at all times. • Use during class time must be authorized by the teacher. • Students are directed not to photograph, video tape, or record any individuals without the written permission of the teacher or administrator and the students being photographed. The use of personal mobile devices, such as laptops, Smartphones, tablets, etc., by students on campus is subject to all applicable District policies and regulations concerning technology use. The use of district devices, such as laptops and hotspots, by students at home are subject to all applicable District policies and regulations concerning technology use. In addition, the following rules and understandings apply:
Personal Mobile Devices. ● The use of mobile devices for personal reasons must be discreet and appropriate: a. Personal mobile devices should be turned off or on silent and stored away from view during contact time (including lunchtime and break duties), unless they are being used for legitimate business purposes (e.g. school records of attendance, achievements and misconduct). b. The use of mobile devices for personal reasons during non-contact time (e.g. in a staff room or office) should be discreet and appropriate. ● If there is a specific reason to use a mobile device for personal reasons during contact time (e.g. an urgent call), then members of staff should seek permission from their performance manager if possible. If this is not possible, the member of staff should use their mobile device as discretely as reasonably possible. ● Where mobile devices are used inappropriately whilst on-site/during school hours this will be dealt with under the ‘Staff Disciplinary Policy’ document. 3b. I will be professional in my communications and actions when using school / IT systems: ● I will not access, copy, remove or otherwise alter any other user’s files, without their express permission. ● I will communicate with others in a professional manner, I will not use aggressive or inappropriate language and I appreciate that others may have different opinions. ● I will ensure that when I take and / or publish images of others I will do so with their permission and in accordance with the school’s policy on the use of digital / video images. I will not use my personal equipment to record these images, unless I have permission to do so. Where these images are published (eg on the school website / VLE) it will not be possible to identify by name, or other personal information, those who are featured. ● I will only use social networking sites in school in accordance with the school’s policies. ● I will only communicate with students / pupils and parents / carers using official school systems. Any such communication will be professional in tone and manner. ● I will not engage in any online activity that may compromise my professional responsibilities. The school and the local authority have the responsibility to provide safe and secure access to technologies and ensure the smooth running of the school When I use my mobile devices (laptops / tablets / mobile phones / USB devices etc) in school, I will follow the rules set out in this agreement, in the same way as if I was using school equipment. If this rule is breached, the device will be confiscated and parents contacted.   • CONTRACTOR PORTABLE DEVICES Contractor shall not place Data on any portable Device unless Device is located and remains within Contractor’s CONUS Data Center. For Authorized Users subject to ITS policies, the Data, and/or the portable device containing the Data, shall be destroyed in accordance with applicable ITS destruction policies (ITS Policy S13-003 Sanitization/Secure Disposal and S14-003 Information Security Controls or successor) when the Contractor is no longer contractually required to store the Data. TRANSFERRING OF DATA General Except as required for reliability, performance, security, or availability of the services, the Contractor will not transfer Data unless directed to do so in writing by the Authorized User. All Data shall remain in CONUS. At the request of the Authorized User, the Contractor will provide the services required to transfer Data from existing Databases to physical storage devices, to facilitate movement of large volumes of Data. The Authorized User may require several Cloud providers to share or transfer Data for a period of time. This will be provided for in the Authorized User Agreement or shall be assumed to be limited to a six month duration. Transfer of Data at End of Contract and/or Authorized User Agreement Term At the end of the Contract and/or Authorized User Agreement term, Contractor may be required to facilitate transfer of Data to a new Contractor. This transfer must be carried out as specified by the Authorized User in the Authorized User Agreement. Transfer of Data; Charges Contractor cannot charge for the transfer of Data unless the charges are provided for in response to an Authorized User RFQ. Transfer of Data; Contract Breach or Termination Notwithstanding Section 3.6.3, in the case of Contract breach or termination for cause of the Contract, all expenses for the transfer of Data shall be the responsibility of the Contractor.

  • PERSONAL SERVICES 1. Subject to the provisions of Articles 14, 16 and 17, salaries, wages and other similar remuneration or income derived by a resident of a Contracting State in respect of personal (including professional) services shall be taxable only in that State unless the services are rendered in the other Contracting State. If the services are so rendered, such remuneration or income as is derived therefrom may be taxed in that other State.

  • Personal Safety 1. The employer and the Union agree that students must be held accountable for their conduct in the classroom, on campus, and at school-sponsored events.

  • End Users Customer will control access to and use of the Products by End Users and is responsible for any use of the Products that does not comply with this Agreement.

  • Removal of Equipment and Materials Within 30 days after completion of the requirements of this contract, PURCHASER shall remove from the areas of operations, and other property owned or controlled by STATE, all equipment, materials, and other property PURCHASER has placed or caused to be placed thereon that is not to become the property of STATE. It is agreed that any such equipment, materials, and other property that are not removed within 30 days, shall become the property of STATE and may be used or otherwise disposed of by STATE without notice or obligation to PURCHASER or to any party to whom PURCHASER may transfer title. Nothing in this section shall be construed as relieving PURCHASER from an obligation to clean up and to burn, remove, or dispose of debris, waste materials, and such, in accordance with the provisions of this contract.
