Common use of Personal Leave Clause in Contracts

Personal Leave. (a) Each Employee shall be entitled to three (3) Personal Leave days each year, from April 1st through March 31st. Employees shall request such days as far in advance as possible. These days are for the purpose of attending to personal matters and family responsibilities, including attending appointments with family members. While the use of Personal Leave days is not restricted from being combined with vacation or long weekends where applicable and appropriate, Personal Leave days are not intended for the purposes of extending time off from work.
