Personal Leave to Attend Appointments. An Employee may use up to one week (38 hours) of personal leave (pro rata for part-time Employees), in aggregate, in any year of service for reasons other than those described at subclause 62.3 on account of a disability or where the Employee is required in the circumstances to attend a Registered Health Practitioner. Example: An Employee may use their personal leave to attend a Registered Health Practitioner on ten occasions of half a day each in any year of service provided that the total period will not exceed one week (38 hours).

  • Sick/Personal Leave Leave granted to the teacher for sick, personal or bereavement reasons.

  • Personal Leaves 8.11.4.1 As approved by the Board, personal leaves without pay may be granted in cases of exceptional need for up to six (6) months.   • Personal Leave Written request for a personal leave of absence without pay will be considered on an individual basis by the Hospital. Such requests are to be submitted to the employee's immediate supervisor at least four (4) weeks in advance, unless not reasonably possible to give such notice, and a written reply will be given within fourteen (14) days except in cases of emergency in which case a reply will be given as soon as possible. Employees needing personal leave days for appointments with medical practitioners may utilize the personal leave language. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Personal Leave With Pay With prior notification, full-time employees who are eligible to accrue sick leave may use a maximum of six (6) days personal leave with pay per year, provided that such days shall be charged against the employee’s current accrued sick leave. This leave is non-cumulative.
