Personal Emergency Leave. 1. A teacher will be granted up to five (5) days of leave per year to cover situations beyond the control of the teacher which would significantly impair teaching service. Personal emergency leave may not be used for illness/injury, or illness/injury in the immediate family. Deductions from the gross pay of a teacher for this leave shall be made at the degreed substitute rate of pay for each day taken.
Personal Emergency Leave. A. Up to three (3) days of personal/emergency leave will be granted to each employee each work year with full pay.
Personal Emergency Leave. In accordance with the Employment Standards Act, an employee is entitled to a leave of absence without pay for the following reasons:
Personal Emergency Leave. 19.11.3.1 In accordance with the Employment Standards Act, the University agrees to grant a leave of absence without pay for up to ten (10) days per calendar year to a faculty member because of a personal illness, injury or medical emergency, or the death, illness, injury or medical or other emergency of a family member. Such family member shall be defined as the employee’s: Spouse (includes common-law spouse and same-sex partner); Brother or Sister; the Parent, Step-Parent, Xxxxxx Parent, or the Child, Step-Child or Xxxxxx Child of the employee or his/her Spouse; the Grandparent, Step-Grandparent, Grandchild, or Step- Grandchild of the employee of his/her Spouse; or a relative of the employee who is dependent on the employee for care and assistance. In the event a faculty member takes any part of a day as personal emergency leave, it shall be counted as a full day for the purpose of calculating the total leave entitlement. Documentation (medical or otherwise) may be required to substantiate such leave. Faculty members should provide their Associate Xxxx or designate with as much advance notice as is practicable regarding a request for personal emergency leave.
Personal Emergency Leave a. Unit members may be granted a personal emergency leave of absence with pay for not more than five (5) days upon the recommendation of the Superintendent or designee and the approval of the Board of Education.
Personal Emergency Leave. An employee shall be granted up to one (1) full working day with pay each year to deal with a personal emergency, upon immediately notifying the department head. Such leave will not be charged to other accrued time off.
Personal Emergency Leave. A. A unit member may be granted a maximum of six (6) days leave of absence in any college year, at his/her election, without loss of pay, in cases of personal emergency. Such leave shall be deducted from the unit member's accumulated sick leave.
Personal Emergency Leave. Each employee shall be granted two (2) days of personal/emergency leave time with pay per calendar year. Such personal/emergency leave time shall only be used for the purpose of conducting business of the employee that can not be conducted other then normal working hours. Employees shall request such personal/emergency leave and receive approval for same from the Employer prior to taking such leave whenever possible. Use of such leave shall be deducted from the employee’s PTO bank.
