Personal Davs. A maximum of two (2) days of absence per year for ten (10) month transportation employees, and a maximum of three (3) days of absence per year for twelve (12) month employees without loss of compensation shall be granted to all transportation employees for personal business that cannot be scheduled outside of normal work hours. Personal leave days are to be used to conduct such activities of a non-recreational nature that are impossible to carry out during other than normal work hours. These days shall be granted when requested in writing, on the correct form, at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance of the day requested. Said leave is subject to the discretion and staffing requirements of the District and may be requested and granted in one- half (1/2) day segments. Personal leave days will not be granted on days immediately preceding or following a holiday or vacation day, or during the first or last week of the school Fabius-Pompey Transportation 2013-2016 Page 12 year. However, day(s) may be granted by the transportation supervisor in } exceptional cases. Unused personal days shall be accumulated as sick days as long as the addition o f the personal day(s) does not exceed the maximum accumulation of sick days. }
Personal Davs. Each employee shall be entitled to use three (3) sick days annually as personal business days for the reasons indicated below. These days must be approved by the Superintendent, or his designee, one (1) week in advance, whenever possible. Personal Davs. Each full-time employee shall be allowed two (2) personal leave days with pay per calendar year. Personal leave days shall be taken with advance notice and approval of the Ch ief.
Personal Davs. Regular full-time employees who have completed their probationary period shall earn five (5) paid personal days off in each calendar year except that people hired after July 1 o f any year will not be entitled to personal days. The employees account for personal days will be credited on January 1st of each calendar year. Employees must be in a paid status for at least 150 workdays in a calendar year to earn the personal days for that year. Personal days must be approved by employee’s supervisor at least 24 hours before the leave is taken. Employees who retire or who resign before September of that year and who have used more than 3 personal days (24 hours) will be required to remit to the Township the value of the hours consumed beyond the 3 day (24 hour) threshold. Bargaining unit employees agree that such remittance may be withheld from any final compensation due and owing to him/her by the Township.
Personal Davs. Employees whose normal work week is twenty (20) hours or more are entitled to three (3) personal days with pay each year to attend to personal business which cannot be conducted outside the normal work week. Requests for a personal day shall be made in writing, approved by the Department Head and submitted to the Town Administrator at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance of the scheduled day of leave. Approval of personal days shall be granted unless such approval would jeopardize necessary staff requirements. Personal days may not be accrued.
