Permanent Full-Time Employees. ‌ A member of the bargaining unit employed on a full-time basis shall be credited with four (4) days of sick leave at the end of the first month of employment of each contract year and shall thereafter be credited for one day of sick leave for each month of employment, which shall be credited to the employee at the end of the month provided the employee has been on duty or compensable leave a minimum of eleven days within the month. Sick leave shall not be used prior to the time it is earned and credited to the employee. An employee shall be entitled to earn no more than one day of sick leave times the number of months of employment during the year of employment. If the employee terminates his employment and has not accrued the four sick days available, the District shall withhold the average daily amount for the sick days utilized but unearned by the employee.
Permanent Full-Time Employees. All Permanent Full-time Employees will be eligible for benefits effective the first day of the month following the start date as a Permanent Employee. All Permanent Full-time Employees, and their spouse, including same-sex spouse, and dependents as defined by the applicable insurance carrier, shall be eligible to participate in benefits as described below.
