Common use of Periods of Leave Clause in Contracts

Periods of Leave. (a) The Company may grant a "leave of absence" without pay to a regular employee for a period not in excess of six consecutive months. It may grant an additional "leave of absence" without pay to such employee if personal circumstances and service to the Company warrant the granting thereof or as otherwise required by applicable law. Except as provided in Sections 101.6 and 101.8, a "leave of absence" will not be granted which, together with the last "leave" or "leaves" granted, will exceed twelve consecutive months.
