Common use of PERIOD OF WORK Clause in Contracts

PERIOD OF WORK. 10.01 (a) In consideration of the salary set out in clause 13.01, employees shall work those days determined by the Ministry of Education and the Board to be "school days" as that term is used in The Education Act. The hours of work on such school days shall be six (6) hours per day, exclusive of a lunch period for all employees except sign language interpreters and instructional assistants at Xxxx Xxxx Catholic Secondary School whose hours of work shall be seven (7) hours per day exclusive of lunch period. Such hours shall normally be worked between the period 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. as determined by the principal, who will consider any preference expressed by an employee.
