Period of Probation. When a psychologist or social worker accepts an appointment within a Catholic school in Western Australia for the first time, the appointment is probationary and as such the psychologist or social worker is subject to professional appraisal in the second year of employment so as to determine suitability for on-going employment.
Period of Probation. Where circumstances warrant an extension, the probationary period may be extended up to an additional two hundred and fifty hours (250) hours upon mutual agreement of the Union and the Employer. may be extended up to an additional 500 hours worked, at the Employer’s discretion. The Employee and the Union shall be notified of the extension and the cause for the extension.
