Performance Pay. In accordance with Section 8 of the General Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2020-2021, contingent upon the availability of funds and at the Agency Head’s discretion, each agency is authorized to grant merit pay increases based on the employee’s exemplary performance, as evidenced by a performance evaluation conducted pursuant to Rule 60L-35, Florida Administrative Code.

Performance Pay. 1. The City may grant an exceptional merit cash payment to any employee at “E” step that receives a satisfactory or above rating on their most recent performance report within the units represented by MEA. Based on the outcome of the evaluation, the Director shall be eligible for a one- time performance payment in an amount not to exceed 2% of the current Director’s salary. Such payment shall be made at the end of a Contract year. The determination of the amount, if any, of performance pay for a Contract year shall be made by the Superintendent, and such determination shall be final.

Performance Pay a. Payment for the salary increment designated by the Salary Schedule shall not be implemented until negotiated and determined in accordance with Chapter 447, Florida Statutes in conformance with the grandfathered salary schedule, Appendix A. No annual salary adjustment shall be granted to a teacher on the grandfathered schedule that receives a summative evaluation rating of unsatisfactory or needs improvement for the prior school year.
