Common use of PERFORMANCE BY EMPLOYEE Clause in Contracts

PERFORMANCE BY EMPLOYEE. During the Employment Period, the Employee shall devote all of his business time, attention, knowledge and skills to, and use his best efforts to perform, the Services and shall promote the interests of the Employer in carrying out the Services. Other than the restrictions contained in Sections 5 and 6 of this Agreement, nothing herein shall be deemed to preclude the Employee from continuing to serve on the board of directors of any business corporation or any charitable organization on which he now serves or, subject to the prior approval of the Board, from accepting appointment to additional boards of directors, provided that such activities do not materially interfere with the performance of Employee's duties hereunder.
