Common use of Payments to Owner Clause in Contracts

Payments to Owner. Unless You request otherwise, We will make annuity income payments to You. If You want the annuity income payments to be made to some other Payee, We will make such annuity income payments subject to receipt of a written request signed by You and filed at the Annuity Service Center no later than [thirty (30)] days before the due date of the first annuity income payment or subsequent annuity income payment. Any such request is subject to the rights of any assignee. No annuity income payments available to or being paid to the Payee while the Annuitant is alive can be transferred, commuted, anticipated or encumbered.
