Payment of Untaken Sick Leave During Employment. 18.9.1 A weekly employee who has a Minimum Personal Leave Bank of 152 hours at the commencement of the businesses’ common personal leave year and who does not take the whole of his / her personal leave entitlement for that year shall be entitled, at the end of the businesses’ common personal leave year, to elect be paid an amount equivalent to up to eight (8) days / 60.8 hours untaken personal leave for that year.

Payment of Untaken Sick Leave During Employment. (i) An employee who has accrued a Minimum Sick Leave bank of 152 hours of untaken sick leave at the commencement of the Company's Common Sick Leave Year and who does not take the whole of their sick leave entitlement for that year may elect to be paid an amount equivalent to the untaken portion of the sick leave entitlement for that year on the following basis:

  • Sick Leave During Leave of Absence (F/T) When an Employee is given leave of absence without pay for any reason, or is laid off on account of lack of work, he/she shall not continue to accumulate sick leave and shall not be entitled to receive pay for sickness for the period of such absence, but shall retain his/her cumulative credit, if any, existing at the time of such leave or lay-off.

  • Sick Leave Payment (a) The District shall for all Regular Full-time and Regular Part-time employees who have completed three (3) months continuous employment, subject to the conditions as set forth herein:

  • Vacation Leave on Retirement ‌ An employee scheduled to retire and to receive pension benefits under the Public Service Pension Plan Rules or who has reached the mandatory retiring age, shall be granted full vacation entitlement for the final calendar year of service.

  • Employment During Unpaid Maternity Leave (a) Special Temporary Employment

  • Sick Leave Bonus For every six (6) months of perfect sick leave attendance after July 1, 1987, the employee will receive eight (8) hours of bonus time. This bonus time will be prorated for part-time employees. Such bonus time can be used for any leave purpose covered by this Agreement. Such bonus time shall be counted as vacation leave credits for purposes of determining eligibility for carry- over and cash payments.

  • Approved Leave of Absence During Vacation Where it can be established by the employee through a doctor's certificate that an illness or accident occurred, or where an employee qualifies for bereavement or any other approved leave during his/her period of vacation, there shall be no deduction from vacation credits for such absence. The period of vacation so displaced shall either be added to the vacation or reinstated for use at a later date, at the employee's option, as mutually agreed.

  • Sick Leave Credit-Based Retirement Gratuities 1) A Teacher is not eligible to receive a sick leave credit gratuity after August 31, 2012, except a sick leave credit gratuity that the Teacher had accumulated and was eligible to receive as of that day.
