Common use of Payment for Unused Sick Leave Clause in Contracts

Payment for Unused Sick Leave. Employees represented by the bargaining unit who have completed ten (10) or more years of consecutive service and who voluntarily terminate will be eligible for pay for unused sick leave held at time of termination. In lieu of pay the teacher may choose to direct the District to forward to an insurance company, or directly into PERS (subject to PERS regulations), an amount equal to the percentages specified below subject to any federal tax obligations imposed by law.
