Payment for Unused Leave. Participants shall, upon retirement, receive payment for any unused annual leave and sick leave to which they are entitled.
Payment for Unused Leave. Upon resignation, termination of employment or retirement from the Department, employees shall be paid in full for any accumulated vacation and personal leave at their regular rate of pay.

Payment for Unused Leave. A. Annual Cash Payment: On an annual basis, any employee with a personal leave balance in excess of 204 hours may elect to receive a cash payment for up to 104 hours at their current hourly rate of pay. Employees must request payment in writing on the designated form each year and the request must be received by the Human Resources Department no later than November 15th. The Human Resources Department will coordinate payment to the employee no later than December 10th of each year.

Employees shall be paid Fifty Dollars ($50) per day for each unused accumulated sick leave and personal days (e.g. not used for service credit or retirement) upon retirement. Employees who retire shall receive a 6% maximum increase in total compensation for the year. If any payment for unused sick leave or retirement bonus is in excess of the 6% cap, the overage shall be paid on or before September 15 of that year unless declared illegal by the TRS rules and regulations.
