Pay for Working on a Holiday. Employees may be required to work on a designated holiday. However, where senior employees do not elect to voluntarily work, the employer may draft employees to work in inverse seniority order. All Supplements and Riders shall maintain the same practices regarding compensation for working on a holiday contained in those labor agreements in effect prior to April 1, 2008, unless otherwise set forth in the current Operational Supplements, Supplements and/or Riders.

Pay for Working on a Holiday. If an employee works on a holiday as listed in subsection 7.1 above, the employee shall be entitled to compensation as follows:

Pay for Working on a Holiday. Any Employee required to work on a paid statutory holiday shall receive time and one- half (1 ½) the hourly rate in addition to the holiday pay herein provided, or another day off with pay in lieu at a time agreed mutually. If this lieu day is worked it shall be treated as a holiday.
Pay for Working on a Holiday. Employees who are assigned to work a holiday with the exception of Christmas Eve Day shall receive compensation of one (1) times their REGULAR RATE OF PAY for hours worked on the holiday. (Employees who voluntarily work on a holiday do so at straight time). Eligible employees who work on a holiday receive their pay for working on the holiday and may save their holiday benefit hours (8 hours for FULL-TIME employees) for use at another time and/or may cash out the holiday benefit hours. Eligible employees who are assigned to work the Christmas Eve holiday shall receive compensation of one (1) times their REGULAR RATE OF PAY for hours worked on that holiday. Compensation for holiday hours assigned/worked shall be provided either in compensated time off or cash payment as approved by the EMPLOYER. Eligible employees who work on Christmas Eve receive their pay for working and may save their holiday benefit hours (8 hours for FULL-TIME employees) for use at another time and/or may cash out the holiday benefit hours.
Pay for Working on a Holiday. Employees required to work on a holiday shall be paid their regular pay for the holiday, plus one and one-half times their regular rate of pay for all hours worked on the holiday. Compensatory time off may be earned at the same rate.

  • Working on a Holiday An employee who is required to work on a holiday shall be paid at the rate of straight time plus time and one-half (1 1/2).

  • Payment for Working on a Holiday (The following clause is applicable to part-time employees only) The holidays listed in the part-time local Appendix for the purposes of Article 16.03(b) shall be the same holidays as are listed in the full-time Local Provisions Appendix. If an employee is required to work on any of the holidays set out in the local Appendix the employee shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) her regular straight time hourly rate of pay for all hours worked on such holiday.

  • Work on a Holiday If an employee works on an approved holiday, in addition to their holiday pay, they will be compensated at the rate of two (2) times their regular hourly rate for all hours worked on the holiday.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday‌ A team member who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double-time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double-time and one-half for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday. The scheduling of the lieu day shall be in accordance with Appendix 4.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double-time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double-time and one-half for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday.

  • Holiday Falling on Saturday or Sunday For an employee whose normal workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday will be deemed to be the holiday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies), will be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.
