Pay for Performing the Duties of a Higher Classification. A. Employees who are temporarily assigned the full scope of duties and responsibilities for more than thirty (30) calendar days to a higher level classification whose range is less than six (6) ranges higher than the range of the former class will be notified in writing and will be advanced to a step of the range for the new class that is nearest to five percent (5%) higher than the amount of the pre-promotional step. The increase will become effective on the first day the employee was performing the higher level duties.
Pay for Performing the Duties of a Higher Classification. Employees who are assigned the full scope of duties and responsibilities of a position in a higher classification for a period of more than two (2) consecutive work days will be paid at the step in the higher range which is nearest to a two (2) step increase from the employees’ normal step.

Employees who are temporarily assigned the full scope of duties and responsibilities of a higher level classification for more than - fifteen (15) consecutive calendar days will be notified in writing and be placed at either the starting step of the new range or the step which provides a minimum of a two (2) step increase, whichever is higher, not to exceed step L or T of the new salary range or the maximum step as defined by WAC 357-28.
Pay for Performing the Duties of a Higher Classification. Employees who are temporarily assigned the full scope of duties and responsibilities for more than fifteen (15) calendar days of a higher level classification will be notified in writing and will be advanced to a step of the range for the new class, that is nearest to five percent (5.0%) higher than the amount of the pre-promotional step. The Employer may grant a higher salary increase as provided in 42.7 C. Time spent performing the duties of a higher classification in accordance with this Section will not be eligible to be counted as time for reallocations in Article 41.3.
Pay for Performing the Duties of a Higher Classification. Employees who are temporarily assigned and work a majority of their hours performing the duties and responsibilities for more than ten (10) consecutive work days of a higher-paid position will be notified in writing and will be advanced to the range and step of that position for the duration of the assignment.
