Pay for Overtime Work. The overtime pay rate is determined as follows: Employees whose basic annual rates are not more than the midpoint of market range for the Senior Professional level Accountant are paid for overtime at a rate which is one and one-half times their straight-time hourly rate. Employees whose basic annual rates are more than the midpoint of market range for the Senior Professional level Accountant are paid for overtime at a rate which is one and one-half times the hourly rate of the midpoint of market range for the Senior Professional level Accountant, except no employee is paid an overtime rate less than his/her straight-time hourly rate. However, employees are paid at a rate of one and one-half times their straight-time rate for work in excess of 40 overtime hours per pay period except when entitled to a higher rate of pay under the provisions of the OPEIU Collective Bargaining Agreement. Under certain conditions of work in excess of 16 hours or work under certain conditions on the second scheduled nonworkday, the pay rate is twice the straight-time rate. Overtime must be officially authorized. It is authorized only when necessary for efficient conduct of the work. The application of overtime to various groups of employees is as follows:

  • Overtime Work A. Overtime pay is to be paid at the rate of one and one- half (1½) times the basic hourly straight-time rate.

  • Compensatory Time for Overtime Eligible Employees A. Compensatory Time Eligibility Compensatory time off may be earned in lieu of cash only when an institution and the employee agree. Compensatory time must be granted at the rate of one and one half (1-1/2) hours of compensatory time for each hour of overtime worked.

  • Compensation for Overtime 9.5.1 All overtime hours, except those overtime hours exceeding twelve (12) hours in one day, shall be compensated at a rate of pay equal to time and one-half the regular rate of pay of the employee.   • Assignment of Overtime Work 39.8 Subject to operational requirements, the Council shall make every reasonable effort:

  • Overtime Meal Allowance ‌ An employee who works two and one-half hours of overtime immediately before or following his/her scheduled hours of work shall receive a meal allowance of seven dollars. One-half hour with pay shall be allowed the employee in order that he/she may take a meal break either at or adjacent to his/her place of work.

  • Planned Overtime In making planned overtime assignments the Employer shall first assign overtime on an equal opportunity basis according to each section’s procedure (Schedule E), as agreed to by the parties. Such overtime shall be assigned to employees who are actively on the payroll and who have indicated their willingness to accept overtime assignments according to section procedures and who are:

  • Work Period; Overtime Pay The work period for overtime computation purposes shall be a seven (7) day period, as defined by the Employer. Nurses working this twelve (12) hour shift schedule shall be paid overtime compensation at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times the regular rate of pay for the first two (2) hours after the end of the twelve (12) hour shift or for any hours worked beyond forty (40) hours in a seven (7) day period. If a nurse works more than two (2) consecutive hours beyond the end of the twelve (12) hour shift, all overtime hours after fourteen (14) consecutive hours of work for that shift shall be paid at double time (2x).

  • Payment for Working Overtime (a) For all work done outside ordinary hours, the rates of pay will be time and a half for the first two hours and double time thereafter.
