Paved Areas. 6.1 Cracks in sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and other paved areas which are included in this contract shall be kept weed free.
6.2 All paved area maintenance of driveways and sidewalks shall be maintained in accordance with the Frequency Schedule.
Paved Areas. Sweeping of all the internal roads, weed killing on parking and paved areas is required on a regular basis, to ensure that they are clean at all times.
Paved Areas. Parking areas shall be paved so as to provide dust-free, all-weather surfaces. Each parking space provided shall be designated by lines painted on the paved surfaces and shall be adequate in area, and all parking areas shall provide, in addition to parking spaces, adequate driveways and space for the movement of vehicles.
Paved Areas. Maintain all paved surfaces and curbs in the Access Easement Area and Parking Easement Area, which shall only include cleaning, sweeping, re- striping, repainting, and resurfacing, using surfacing material of a quality equal to or superior to the original surfacing material.
Paved Areas a. Plant material must be pruned to keep clear of any roadways, sidewalks, service boxes, fire hydrants and signage at all times.
b. Sidewalks and driveways shall be blown free of maintenance and seasonal related debris.

Paved Areas. Parking areas, driveways, sidewalks, etc. in Common Areas will be cleaned during the first scheduled maintenance of each month. All leaves, soil and other debris that have accumulated next to the curbs and wheel stops are to be removed. Soil that has washed onto sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots must also be swept back to its proper location or removed as appropriate. Due care must be used to avoid damage to vehicles. Mulch that has moved from its intended place onto paved areas is to be swept or blown back to its proper location, where feasible. All paved areas will be kept free of weeds by use of mechanical means, such as string trimmers. Vigorous control of weeds and grasses is necessary to prevent damage to paved areas.
Paved Areas. (i) Pedestrian refuge islands shall be of flexible construction in accordance with paragraph 1.8.2(i).
(ii) Deflection islands less than 20 square metres in area shall be of flexible construction in accordance with paragraph 1.8.2(i).
(iii) Deflection islands larger than 20 square metres in area, the outer circumference to roundabouts and roundabout entry and exit roads shall have their outer edge (i.e. behind the kerb) paved with 80 millimetres deep concrete paviours to a width of 0.7 metres and this paving shall extend to the limit of the radii of the roundabouts and roundabout entry and exit roads.
(iv) Roundabout central islands shall have 80 millimetre deep concrete paviours to a width of 2.0 metres. The Design shall include chevron block paviours as per diagram 515.2 of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002.
(v) The central reserve on new Motorways shall consist of red coloured 20mm single size chippings, to a minimum depth of 100mm and shall incorporate a vegetation repressing membrane.
Paved Areas. A. Maximum grades: Roadways: 4%; ramps 6%; lawn areas 4:1; berms 3:1.
B. All roadways shall be a minimum of 26’ wide; single drives & ramps shall be 15’ wide. Provide minimum inside radius of 60’ and minimum outside radius of 110’ at all truck roads. Roadways and/or “hammerheads” shall be located to allow 65’ semi-trailers to maneuver to the dock areas.
C. Traffic control signage and pavement markings shall be provided at egress onto public roads and other site locations, as traffic conditions dictate.
D. Automobile parking area shall be sized for 257 total (expandable by 140 cars) employee vehicles, 10 visitor stalls and handicap stalls in accordance with regulatory requirements located adjacent to office entry.
E. Parking lots and car roads shall be a minimum 6” aggregate base with 3” bituminous binder and 1” bituminous surface, design in accordance with Asphalt Institute requirements for passenger cars and buses.
F. Parking lot stall sizes shall be a minimum of 9’ x 20’, delineated with 4” painted striping. Handicap stalls and signing shall comply with ADA and local codes, whichever is more restrictive. Parking lot signage includes visitor, HC and directional striping shall be provided as required.
G. Truck dock apron and maneuvering areas that extend 140’ from face of building shall be a minimum 6” aggregate base with 7”, unreinforced, 4000 psi, PCC surface.
H. Truck roads and drives shall be a minimum 8” aggregate base with minimum of 3” bituminous binder course and 1” bituminous surface course designed in accordance with the Asphalt Institute requirements for semi-truck traffic. Final pavement thickness shall be dependent upon soils engineering report.
I. Provide 200 (expandable by 114 trailer spaces) semi-trailer (numbered) parking stalls. Stalls shall be 12 feet wide by 53 feet long. Striping to be 4” wide located across from dock areas; specifically do not locate in future expansion area. Trailer storage spaces shall be constructed of a 10’ wide, 7” deep concrete dolly pad over 6” of aggregate base and 43’ of 8” aggregate base with minimum of 3” bituminous binder course and 1” bituminous surface course designed in accordance with the Asphalt Institute requirements for semi-truck traffic
J. Sidewalks shall be minimum 4” aggregate base with 4”, 3000 psi, and PCC surface with light broom finish. Joints shall be spaced to match width of sidewalk. Sidewalks shall be minimum 5’ wide at parking lot; minimum 8’ wide at office entrance. Curbing shall be in...
