Patrol Officer. Any employee reassigned as a result of a layoff must qualify for, and must demonstrate that he can perform the duties of, the particular position to which his is reassigned.

Patrol Officer. A licensed Patrol Officer is responsible for the checking of security on all the clients' premises on their assigned run, as well as responding to alarm calls via the Control Room. A licensed Patrol Officer must carry their appropriate Security Licence and Drivers Licence with them at all times. Their duties may include internal as well as external security checks; locking up and unlocking of certain premises at specified times; the detection and prevention of fires and other emergency situations; lookout for anything out of place or which may have been moved or disturbed. Patrol Officers must follow all Company Standard Operating Procedures and Post Orders of their respective site and complete an End of Shift Report for each shift worked. Patrol Officers must also complete incident reports for any incident they witness whilst on duty. Patrol Officers should each check the patrol car before and at the end of shift for any mechanical or non mechanical problems to ensure the vehicle is always running appropriately. Patrol Officers may be required to manage traffic at accident sites/vehicle breakdowns; assist emergency services when asked by emergency service staff. They may be required to perform the duties of a Crowd Controller. They will be first point of contact in any emergency at the site they are posted and may be required to perform first aid.
Patrol Officer. Employees in the rank of Patrol Officer shall have their salaries increased in accordance with Schedule A appended hereto.
