Patrol Division. Employees assigned to the patrol division who request light duty in accordance with this section, may be assigned to work light duty assignments within the patrol division or as call takers within the dispatch center and will have the same work schedule, subject to authorization from his/her physician and the availability of a light duty assignment. Officers may also be assigned administrative tasks such as, but not limited to updating warrant files, assisting with managing the outside workbook, etc. The Department will make a reasonable attempt to insure that the Officer’s days off and hours of light duty will coincide, to the extent possible, with the officers selected shift he/she selected pursuant to the “Shift Pick”. If an officer can not be assigned to his/her previously selected shift due to the lack of light duty work, the Department shall consider the officer’s individual circumstances in making a light duty assignment.
Patrol Division. Section 1a. The regular shift for members of the Patrol Division shall be comprised of five (5), eight (8) hour work days with two (2) consecutive days off. “C” Squad will be 1500- 2300 or 1600-2400 hours. “B” Squad will be 0700-1500 or 0800-1600 hours. “A” Squad will be 2300-0700 or 2400 – 0800 hours. Patrol Division. The Patrol Division Unit schedule will be divided into Squad A and Squad B. The regular patrol work day shall be ten (10) hours and forty (40) minutes (10.67 hours), with Wednesday overlaps, with five (5) days on, four (4) days off, five (5) days on, four (4) days off, five (5) days on, and five (5) days off duty. The City may adjust the starting time for employees on the patrol schedule for any shift up to one (1) hour with prior notification to the Guild or longer if by mutual agreement. The number of positions per shift will be determined from time to time by the City. Additionally, the Department will identify mandatory training dates which shall be considered part of the regular work schedule. Notification of training dates will be provided prior to the time of the shift bid each year. Mandatory training will occur for both Squads A and B with Squad B covering patrol needs while Squad A is in training and vice versa. The training days will be a full shift (8 to 10.5 hours) at the beginning of each squad’s work week to include breaks and a lunch. The squad that is in training will not be allowed time off on training days except as provided by the Unit Lieutenant. The squad covering patrol needs will be allowed time off as staffing needs allow.
Patrol Division. (i) Each Patrol Section shall have two Leave Lists.

Patrol Division. The Patrol Division will consist of two teams. One team will be working while the other team is on regular time off. Five Sergeants will supervise each team. Each team will staff a 24-hour work period with three scheduled overlapping shifts as follows: 1st Shift: 0700 – 1900 with two sergeants 2nd Shift: 1500 – 0300 with one sergeant 3rd Shift: 1900 – 0700 with two sergeants The normal workday shall consist of twelve (12) consecutive hours of work (8 consecutive hours on a workday with an employee’s previously selected “4 hours Scheduled Time Off” (STO), as provided in Section 12.4.H). These consecutive hours include a paid meal period. The normal pay period shall consist of 80 hours and such additional time as may from time to time be required in the judgment of the City to serve the citizens of the City. The pay period begins at 0700 hours, every other Saturday. This schedule is based upon a 28-day calendar/14-day pay cycle pursuant to Section 207 of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Patrol Division. Effective 0001, October 1, 2002, shifts shall be scheduled in accordance with Schedule B - 12 Hour Shift Schedule.
Patrol Division. A. The work schedule shall consist of fifteen (15) day work periods in which employees work eight (8) hour shifts on a schedule of five (5) consecutive days on, followed by three (3) consecutive days off, followed by five (5) consecutive days on, followed by two (2) consecutive days off. In each calendar year, employees will be required to attend eight (8) four (4) hour training sessions. These training sessions will be scheduled at least (10) calendar days in advance.
Patrol Division. Effective 0001, October 1, 2002, shifts shall be scheduled in accordance with Schedule B - 12 Hour Shift Schedule. ♦ (b) The normal hours of work for police officers working in regions outside the Northeast Avalon Region shall be scheduled in accordance with the respective shift schedule as referenced below: Labrador West Region Labrador City Detachment, Constables and Sergeants Schedule D Churchill Falls Detachment Schedule E Corner Brook Region Patrol Services Schedule F ♦ (c) Subject to clauses 6.06, 6.07, 6.08, 6.09 and 6.10, the normal hours of work for police officers assigned to the Mounted Unit shall be in accordance with Schedule G.
