Partial-area. A partial-area is defined as an area outside the field of coverage that is not large enough to accommodate another Device radius and, therefore, another departmental Device.

Built-up Area The built-up area for the Designated Apartment or any other Unit shall mean the Carpet Area of such Unit and Balcony area and 50% (fifty percent) of the area covered by those external walls which are common between such Unit/Balcony and any other Unit/Balcony and the area covered by all other external walls of the such Unit/Balcony.
Space Bearing in mind the respective competences of the Community, its Member States and the European Space Agency the Parties shall promote, where appropriate, long term co-operation in the areas of civil space research, development and commercial applications. Partial Occupancy The OWNER may occupy or use any portion of the Work at any stage. Immediately prior to such partial occupancy or use, the OWNER and Contractor shall jointly inspect the area to be occupied or portion of the Work to be used in order to determine and record the condition of the Work. The use or occupancy of a portion of the Work by OWNER or its other contractors to inspect and/or correct defective workmanship or install furniture, fixtures, or equipment or other work shall not be considered as use and occupancy. Unless otherwise agreed upon, partial occupancy or use of a portion or portions of the Work shall not constitute acceptance of Work not complying with the requirements of the Contract Documents.
Leaving the Building Employees may leave their assignments during the time encompassed by the employee’s workday upon receipt of permission from their principal, their supervisor, or the Employer’s appointed designee.
Work Area The specific work area and/or crew an employee reports to on a daily schedule. Work areas are generally smaller divisions of a larger Bid Area.

Building Use Agency facilities may be used for Union activities according to current building use policies, so long as the facility is available and proper scheduling has been arranged.
Work Space Adjunct faculty shall be provided with the opportunity to utilize general common area office space on each campus in order to meet students and to prepare and store instructional materials. As individual colleges and continuing education campuses expand and renovate existing facilities, they shall include adjunct faculty work areas in the formulation of their space allocation plans. Such work areas shall include at a minimum: a work station or table, a chair, a visitor’s chair, nearby access to a phone, nearby access to a computer with internet and District network access, nearby access to a printer, and campus access to a scanner. Individual colleges shall consider adjunct faculty work areas in the formulation of their space allocation plans.
Alpine Areas The employer shall pay an Alpine disability allowance of $2.50 per hour worked on projects in alpine areas.
