Common use of Part-time Vacation Pay Clause in Contracts

Part-time Vacation Pay. Part-time employees shall be entitled to vacation pay on each anniversary date of their employment, prorated on the basis of the average straight-time hours worked during the preceding year, according to the vacation formula set forth in this Article 8.1. Said vacation pay shall be based on the straight-time hourly rate in effect on the employee’s anniversary date provided, however, that if the Employer does not pay the vacation pay on the anniversary date, the payment shall be based on the straight-time hourly rate of pay in effect at the time the employee takes the vacation.
