The 'Part-Time Members' clause defines the terms and conditions under which individuals may serve in a part-time capacity within an organization or on a governing body. Part-Time Members. Those members identified in Articles 1.6.2 or 1.6.4 or 1.6.6 or 1.6.8.
Part-Time Members. Part-time members shall have the right to join or refuse to join the State Employees Retirement System or the Alternate Retirement Plan for Higher Education. Part-time members who are currently enrolled in the Teachers Retirement System (TRS) may apply university service to TRS. Failure to elect participation in the above retirement systems (SERS or TRS) shall be deemed full waiver of rights to participate for the semester of employment (This provision is ineffective until legislative approval of the necessary supersedence.).
Part-Time Members. Part-Time Members will receive an amount equal to 14% of their salaries in lieu of benefits and vacation pay.

Part-Time Members. 1. Part-time Members who work full days for part of the scheduled work week shall earn sick leave in the same proportion as their part-time employment status. For example, a teacher who works two (2) full days of a five day week shall earn 40% of the annual sick leave allotment. One year of longevity shall be earned for each year worked; however, longevity compensation will be pro-rated.
2. Part-time Members who work part of a scheduled work day each day of the scheduled work week shall earn sick leave in the same manner as a full-time employee (15 days per year). It is understood that a work day is the number of hours per day that a Member is scheduled to work.
3. If a full-time Member who has accumulated sick leave moves to part-time employment, the Member will first apply the part-time earned sick days to cover the absence. If that part-time leave is exhausted, the Member’s accumulated full-time sick leave will be applied on a pro rata basis.
4. All part-time faculty members shall attend a number and/or portion of professional development (PD) days equal to the percentage of their teaching time as arranged between the faculty member and their immediate supervisor. Part-time staff are responsible for obtaining the information covered during any PD day or portion of the PD day that they do not attend. The parties agree that professional development for part-time staff is more meaningful if they are in attendance. Any PD days that are attended beyond the required amount will be paid at their per diem rate.
5. Part-time instructional Members will receive preparation time on a pro-rated basis. (Example: A teacher who works 60% over three (3) full days would get three (3) preparation periods. A teacher who works 50% over five full days would get 2.5 preparation periods. This preparation time is included in the work day calculations.)
6. All part-time Members are expected to attend two (2) two-hour afternoon or evening meetings per year that may be used for individual parent conferences, back-to-school night, or for classroom visitation unless different arrangements are made with their immediate supervisor.
Part-Time Members. (a) A Committee to be established comprising two representatives of the Association and two representatives of the Board to study the implementation of part-time work schedules and the terms and conditions of members assigned to such work schedules in the following unit: Communications Bureau
(b) The object of the Committee's study is to consider and if deemed advisable to reach agreement on the implementation of such schedules and terms and conditions of employment.
(c) Either party may require that an external person act as Chairperson of the Committee, the cost to be shared equally by the parties. In the event the parties cannot agree on the person to be appointed they will request Xx. Xxxx Xxxxx, Q.C., to make the selection.
(d) The Committee shall report no later than November 1, 1990.
Part-Time Members. Health Care Spending Account – The University will establish a Health Care Spending Account (HCSA) for members with 3 or more courses per term. For purposes of administering the HCSA, the 3 terms shall be Fall, Winter and Spring/Summer. The maximum amount per eligible member for each calendar year shall be $500. Deposits to eligible employee’s HCSA in each term will be made based on the proportion of actual workload in each term compared to full workload (3 courses) multiplied by $500. If a member does not have 3 or more courses in any term no deposit shall be made in that term.
