Parents/guardians will be involved in all placement decisions regarding their child and have the right to request due process hearings at any time. Upon request, the parent of the student will be allowed to examine all relevant records relating to the student’s education and the school’s identification, evaluation and/or placement decision. If parents disagree with the determination, a request for a due process hearing may be made. The process will proceed as follows:

Parent Participation. At The Learning Corner we value the importance of families and whanau. We encourage all parents and whanau to share in their child/s day and talk with the teachers openly. Learning portfolios are created for each child, which showcases what your child has been doing with us, and what they are developing. These are available for parents to look over and make comments in. The Learning Corner also has a set of policies which are available in the office at anytime for parents to review.

Parents will adhere to the program’s guidance policy while in the center. • Parents are strongly encouraged to join the Parent Advisory Board (PAB), which meets quarterly. The PAB is established to discuss program satisfaction and to provide any recommendations for improvement. Be responsible for coordinating an annual parent participation program in conjunction with program staff. • Parent information is displayed at the front desk, in the classrooms, emailed and on bulletin boards in the lobby. It is the responsibility of the parent to check the message areas daily.

The school expects parents to commit themselves to support Colegio Roosevelt’s Mission, Vision and Core Values listed below: MISSION STATEMENT - Our mission is to empower our students to pursue their passion for learning, lead lives of integrity and create socially responsible solutions.
Parent Participation. Parents/Guardians are requested to help in some of the special activities we have such as all school events, guest speaker events, holiday parties, and craft days. We put sign up sheets out for parents/guardians to sign if they are available to help for special parties and events. We understand it can be difficult to assist, but we request that parents/guardians try to help during at least one special event each year. Help can even be done by signing up to bring food for a scheduled party.

Notwithstanding anything else to the contrary set forth in this Agreement, including Sections 2.1(a), 2.1(b) and 2.2, in its capacity as a Backstop Party, the Parent shall be permitted to assign, or otherwise transfer its rights with respect to its Initial Subscription Right, Investment Right and Backstop Commitment (or agree to forgo such rights and conduct an offering of its allocation of the New Money Investment in an aggregate amount equal to the amount thereof), in each case, on terms and conditions as mutually agreed between the Parent and the Requisite Backstop Parties and, in each case, in a manner that would not prevent the offering, solicitation and sale of securities in the Rights Offering and New Money Investment to be exempt from registration pursuant to Regulation D of the Securities Act. In the event of any such transfer or rights offering, Parent, in its capacity as a Backstop Party, shall have no further obligations with respect to such transferred Initial Subscription Right, Investment Right and Backstop Commitment from and after the date of such transfer or the expiration of such rights offering.
