Paid Work Breaks. Eight-hour and ten-hour shift employees will have a lunch break of thirty (30) minutes, designated by the Company during the period of the fourth and fifth hours of the shift. They will have coffee breaks, at the work place, of ten (10) minutes each, designated by the Company during the periods of the second and third hours and the sixth and seventh hours of the shift.

Paid Work Breaks. All bargaining unit members who work a regular eight and one-half (8 ½) hour shift are entitled to two (2) paid fifteen (15) minute breaks as follows: Day bargaining unit members will take one (1) break between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. The second break will be taken between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Evening bargaining unit members will take one (1) break between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The second break will be taken between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. These breaks may not be included as part of the meal break and may not be taken at the beginning or end of the shift.
Paid Work Breaks. 9.06 All employees shall receive paid work breaks on the ratio of six and one quarter (6.25) minutes of rest time per hour worked on their regular shift. This time shall be distributed in such a manner as to divide the shift into equal segments. The main break at mid shift shall be twenty (20) minutes in duration.

  • Work Breaks All employees covered by this agreement shall be permitted ten (10) minutes in the first half and ten (10) minutes in the second half of a shift for a coffee break on the job during regular working hours. If extended overtime is required, additional coffee breaks shall be permitted during such overtime after each two (2) hours following the conclusion of each overtime meal break. However, for a compressed work week schedule, employees shall be permitted a break of fifteen (15) minutes in the first half and fifteen (15) minutes in the second half of such shifts.

  • Unpaid Work In accordance with the Employment Standards Act, no employee shall be required or permitted to perform unpaid hours of work.

  • Standard Work Day The standard work day for non-shift employees shall be seven (7) hours exclusive of the meal period.

  • Work Week and Work Day (a) (Applicable to full-time employees only) The normal or standard work week shall be an average of thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours, with a normal or standard work day of seven and one-half (7½) hours except in those Hospitals where agreements already provide a standard or normal work week of less than thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours per week and seven and one-half (7½) hours per day. (Those Hospitals with the lesser required hours shall reflect in the salary rates a pro-rata lesser amount compared with salaries for other Hospitals based on the ratio that the standard or normal hours of work at the Hospital concerned are to thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours and shall appropriately reflect such hours in this Article). The length of time over which the hours of work per week are to be averaged shall be determined locally and shall be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix.

  • Lunch Breaks The lunch break will consist of a one-half hour (or one hour where scheduled) unpaid break taken mid-way during regular work day. In the event that an employee is required to work during his regular lunch period he shall be allowed a one-half hour lunch period between the hours of ll:30 a.m. and l:00 p.m., otherwise he shall be paid double time for working through said lunch period.

  • Work Day The standard work day shall be eight (8) consecutive hours of work exclusive of a lunch period in a consecutive twenty-four (24) hour day.

  • Work Day/Work Week 1. The work week shall consist of five (5) consecutive days Monday through Friday of no more than eight (8) hours per day and no more than forty (40) hours per work week. This shall not restrict the extension of the employee’s usual and customary workday or workweek when such is necessary to carry on the business of the School District. Employees who actually work more than forty (40) hours per week will receive overtime pay (time-and-a-half).

  • Work Day and Work Week (A) The normal hours of work for all full-time employees shall be thirty-five (35) hours per week, or seventy (70) hours per two consecutive weeks. All employees are entitled to thirty-two (32) consecutive hours free from work each week, unless overtime rates are paid, as per Article 29.02.

  • Tea Breaks (a) Every employee will be entitled to a paid 10 minute tea break in each four hours worked at a time to be agreed between the employee and employer.
