Calendar year of service refers to a full calendar year (i.e. the twelvetwelve (12) month period between January and December). For the purpose of computing vacation time for new members of the Bargaining Unit, the date of January 1st closest to the date of hiring will be used to determine vacation credits, except during the first year of service where the actual hiring date will determine the vacation credits. It is understood that employees who are members of the Bargaining Unit at the time of ratification will maintain their current Vacation Calculation Date.
