Common use of Paid Vacation Leave Clause in Contracts

Paid Vacation Leave. 1. A bargaining unit member working on an eleven (working at least 240 days) or twelve-month basis shall earn vacation leave of ten (10) days, which shall be accrued on a monthly basis. Members working on an eleven (working at least 240 days) or twelve-month basis who continue in the employ of the Board for six (6) or more years of service shall earn vacation leave with pay for fifteen (15) days, which shall be accrued on a monthly basis. Members working on an eleven (working at least 240 days) or twelve-month basis who continue in the employ of the Board for twelve (12) or more years of service shall earn vacation leave with pay for twenty (20) days, which shall be accrued on a monthly basis. Paid vacation shall be based on the bargaining unit member’s District seniority as this term is defined in Article 16 C.
