Paid Vacation Entitlement. A. All employees shall be entitled to the following paid vacation weeks provided they have been in the active employ of the Pittsfield Public Schools for the entire calendar year. Where an employee has been in the active employ of the Pittsfield Public Schools for less than the full year, her/his vacation benefits will be prorated monthly and rounded to the nearest whole day. However, total periods "outside the active employ" of the Department of less than ninety (90) days in any calendar year will not be prorated against the employee. For purposes of this provision "outside the active employ" shall be defined as those employees out of work on Workers Compensation or an unpaid leave of absence.

Paid Vacation Entitlement. Employees will be entitled to the following paid vacation entitlement. Employees will commence earning changes in the entitlement level on the first day of the month in which their anniversary date falls. Days/Month Up to the completion of four year’s service 2 weeks .83 At the beginning of five year’s service 3 weeks 1.25 At the beginning of ten year’s service 4 weeks 1.66 At the beginning of sixteen year’s service 5 weeks 2.08 At the beginning of twenty one year’s service 6 weeks 2.50 Although vacation entitlement is expressed in weeks per year of service, it will actually accrue on a monthly basis.

  • Annual Vacation Entitlement (a) An Employee shall be entitled to receive annual vacation leave with pay:

  • Vacation Entitlement i) A transferring employee will accrue vacation in accordance with the collective agreement of the designated employer.

  • Vacation Entitlements In case of discharge or resignation, the employee shall receive all vacation entitlements and salary due to the date of termination, except as provided in Articles 33.05 and 33.07.

  • Paid Vacation Except as otherwise provided in this Article, paid vacation shall be granted no longer than the fiscal year immediately following the fiscal year in which it is earned.

  • Earned Vacation Full-time employees, as defined in this article, shall accrue vacation as follows:

  • Sick Leave Entitlement A full-time employee shall earn sick leave credits at the rate of one and one-quarter (1¼) days for each month of service in which pay was received for at least ten (10) days. Sick leave shall accumulate to a maximum of two hundred and fifty (250) days. A part-time employee shall be entitled to sick leave credits on a pro rata basis. Where an employee is absent from work because of illness or injury the employee shall be entitled to claim sick leave at her regular rate of pay for a maximum period equivalent to her accumulated sick leave credit.

  • Banked Vacation Once every five years an employee may bank one full year's vacation to be taken in conjunction with the next year's vacation. For the purposes of this clause, all vacation in the second year must be taken concurrently.

  • Accrued Vacation It is further agreed by the parties hereto that, upon sale or transfer of ownership of any store or upon dissolution of business, vacation pay for all months worked for which no vacation pay has been given shall be immediately paid to all employees coming under this Agreement, regardless of length of time said employee has been with the Employer.

  • PAID VACATIONS 16.01 An employee in the active employ of the Company shall be entitled to an annual paid vacation pay on the following basis:

  • VACATION AND VACATION PAY 9.01 All employees who are covered under this Agreement shall receive vacation pay as a percent of the employee's total earnings exclusive of the Employer's contribution to the Union's Benefit Plan. Income tax shall be deducted weekly from the employee's earnings increased by the amount of vacation pay.
