Paid Union Leave. 5.4.1 OC shall provide the Association with paid union leave to the total equivalent of one-quarter full-time equivalent per annum. OC shall do this by reducing the amount owed by the Association for leave replacement pursuant to 5.3.4 by an amount calculated in accordance with the protocol established by OC and the Association and agreed to on February 5, 2001.

Paid Union Leave. (a) Subject to operational requirements such as the Employer’s ability to obtain a replacement and at no additional cost in premium pay and provided the Nurse has given a minimum of four (4) weeks written advance notice of the request, the Employer shall grant leaves of absence without loss of regular pay and benefits for a period not exceeding three (3) days for Nurses chosen to represent:
Paid Union Leave. Upon written notification to the employer at least five (5) days in advance, an Employee elected or appointed to represent the Union (except as provided for under Article 7.2) or who are attending Union education sessions shall be granted leave of absence with pay and benefits. Such leave shall be limited to fifteen (15) working days per year for the bargaining unit as a whole.
Paid Union Leave. Up to three (3) Local Union Executive members shall be granted a paid leave of absence from their normal duties for the duration of his/her term or as per such term noted in a written request. The Local Union Executive members on full-time Union leave shall continue to accumulate seniority and service for the duration of the leave. It is understood that one of the full-time book-offs may be allocated by the Union to one or more executive members. During such leaves of absence, the salary and applicable benefits shall be maintained by the Hospital and the Union agrees to reimburse the Hospital in the amount of fifty per cent (50%) of the cost of such salary and applicable benefits. The Hospital will xxxx the Union in accordance with the established Union Leave billing process. It is agreed that the Hospital shall receive at least two (2) weeks written notice prior to the date of return from such leave. Sick leave and vacation entitlements on these leaves of absence shall be applied in accordance with the Collective Agreement and will be managed by the employee with notification to the Employer.

Paid Union Leave. Employees will be granted Union Leave with full pay, upon five (5) working days notice being provided, to attend Union Meetings of CUPE 1281 scheduled during regular working hours to a maximum of sixteen (16) hours per calendar year, per Employee. Time spent at such meetings will not be used in the calculation of overtime as defined in Article 23.06.

Paid Union Leave. The employer agrees that upon written request from the union after approval of the membership, a designated employee shall be released from duty to perform union activities and paid at the top step Park Keeper Crew Leader rate along with all benefits as if s/he were continuing to be at work. In return, each covered employee shall have his or her compensatory balance reduced by three (3) hours annually. In the event an employee has insufficient hours in their compensatory bank their vacation bank shall be reduced by the balance needed up to three (3) hours. It is understood the released employee may be either a City or Park Board employee. Further, all of the designated employee(s) on a Union paid leave of absence approved by the Employer shall have full reinstatement rights to their original position, or a similar position, when returning from a union paid leave.
Paid Union Leave. The Company agrees to cover the wage and benefit costs for Union members booked off on Union business, for up to fifteen hundred (1500) hours per contract year solely for the purpose of matters related to Article 3.05. The Union agrees to provide details of the utilized time quarterly to the Employer. Any surplus of hours remaining at the end of the contract year shall be void.
Paid Union Leave. Xxxxxx Street shall provide the Union with a total of fourteen (14) leave days each year, without loss of pay, to use for Union activities such as MSEA-SEIU leadership activities, xxxxxxx trainings, Union conferences, and other similar activities/trainings sanctioned by the Union. The Union shall provide Human Resources at least thirty (30) calendar daysadvance notice, and such leave shall be scheduled in a manner to minimize disruption to Xxxxxx Street services.
