PAID PERSONAL BUSINESS LEAVE DAYS. Section 9.1 Each employee who is employed for a full school year (July 1 through June 30) or four (4) quarters shall be eligible for four (4) paid personal business leave days during that school year equal to the work hours in the employees regularly scheduled work day during that school year. PAID PERSONAL BUSINESS LEAVE DAYS. Paid personal business leave days are provided for legitimate business, professional, and family obligations a School Safety Advocate regularly encounters which cannot be met outside the regular school day. Typical of these obligations, although not all inclusive, are: court appearances, scheduled medical examinations, religious holidays, college graduation exercises, honors convocations honoring the School Safety Advocate or members of his/her immediate family, and real estate transactions. This provision for paid personal business leave is not to be used for the pursuit of sporting or recreational interests, hobbies, avocations, other gainful employment, shopping, or such activities as yard maintenance. Application for paid personal business leave days shall, except in emergencies be made to the immediate supervisor at least two (2) days prior to the date of such leave on a form provided by the Board which is attached as Appendix E. Paid personal business leave days may not be used on restricted days, except upon submission to the School Safety Advocate's immediate supervisor proof that the reason for the request is for one set forth above.

  • Personal Leave Days Section 1. All employees after completion of six (6) months of service shall be entitled to receive personal leave days in the following manner:

  • Unpaid Personal Leave of Absence 1. Any employee may apply for an unpaid personal leave of absence for good and sufficient reason. Leave pursuant to this provision may be for a period not exceeding twelve (12) months in any fourteen (14) consecutive months. Such leave may be granted at the discretion of the appointing authority and shall not be unreasonably denied. Employees are encouraged to consult with their agency/department Personnel Officer to determine if they are eligible for benefits available under the Federal Family and Medical Leave Act. All requests for such leave and responses shall be in writing. The application for leave must specifically state the reasons for such application and the length of time requested. After completion of a period of personal leave of absence, the employee shall be entitled to return to the organizational unit, status and position held immediately prior to the beginning of the leave of absence. If the employee's position is abolished during any such leave, he/she shall be notified and allowed to exercise his/her rights under the Seniority Article of this Agreement.

  • Personal/Xxxxx’s Leave 7.3.1 All full time employees shall be entitled to accrue paid personal / carer's leave on the basis of 10 days per year (or pro-rata thereof for any period less than one year).
