A Paid Meal Break clause establishes that employees are entitled to a designated meal break during their work shift, and that this break is compensated as part of their regular working hours. Typically, this means that employees do not have to clock out or lose pay during their meal period, which might last 30 or 60 minutes depending on company policy. The core function of this clause is to ensure employees receive both rest and uninterrupted pay, promoting fairness and compliance with labor standards.
Paid Meal Break. In the event that an employee has to work more than two (2) hours before or after his/her regular shift, he/she shall be entitled to a paid meal break of one-half hour.
