Common use of Paid Leave of Absence Clause in Contracts

Paid Leave of Absence. Paid Leave of Absence means that a bargaining unit member shall be entitled to receive wages, insurance, retirement benefits, and receive credit for annual salary increments provided during his/her leave. Employees returning from an approved leave shall be assured of employment in the District in a capacity for which they are qualified but not necessarily the same position held prior to the leave.
