PAID EDUCATION LEAVE AND SOCIAL JUSTICE FUND. 43.01 Effective March 1, 2006 the Company will contribute 3 cents per hour worked per employee to the UNIFOR Paid Education Leave Fund. This fund will be for upgrading the employee’s skills in all aspects of union functions. This will be forwarded to the union office by the fifteenth (15th) day of the following month.

PAID EDUCATION LEAVE AND SOCIAL JUSTICE FUND. 18.05.01 The Company agrees to pay into a special fund, established by the Union five hundred dollars ($500.00) per year for the purpose of providing paid education leave. Such paid education leave will be for the purpose of upgrading the employees’ skills in all aspects of Trade Union functions. Such monies will be paid into a trust fund established by the National Union, CAW and sent on September 1st of year by the Company to the following address with cheques made payable to the CAW Leadership. The fund is a registered non-profit charity which contributes to Canadian and international non-partisan, non-governmental relief and development organizations. Such monies are to be paid on a yearly basis, September 1st of each year, into the fund established by its Board of Directors and sent by the Company to the following address:

Such leave shall be for upgrading the employee skills in all aspects of trade union functions. Payments shall be made on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established by the National Union, Unifor.
