Pacific Gas and Electric. Company has applied for a right-of-way easement 100 feet in width and approximately 2900 feet in length across Petaluma Creek in Sonoma and Marin Counties, approximately three-eighths of a mile easterly of the North Western Pacific Railroad Company's bridge at Black Point, for the construction, maintenance, replacement, and use of overhead electric trans- mission lines. It is requested that the easement applied for run for a period of forty-nine years at the established rental rate of 15 cents per lineal foot, or a total rental of $435 for the full forty-nine year period. Pacific Gas and Electric Company was notified on February 8, 1951, of their occupancy of State lands. Value of the State lands occupied is estimated to be not in excess of $50 per acre for the use intended. Performance bond in the amount of $5000, to be covered by the $50,000 blanket bond posted in 194, is considered adequate to cover cost of removal of two towers within the easement area. Filing fee and expense deposit have been paid.
