Ownership of Metering Equipment. 8.1.1 The Company shall design, finance, construct, install and commission the Primary Metering System and transfer it to JPS who shall own, operate and maintain the Primary Metering System in accordance with Schedule 5.
Ownership of Metering Equipment. 10.1.1 JPS shall provide and install revenue class demand and energy meters, having remote monitoring capability and import/export (“net billing”) registering facility measured at the interconnecting point to the JPS Grid. The QE shall be responsible for paying JPS any differential cost for the replacement of any existing meter with the aforesaid meter, if such replacement is deemed necessary by JPS.

Upon commissioning the Primary Metering System but prior to the first synchronization of the Facility, the Company shall not access, read, reconfigure or otherwise tamper or interfere with, nor cause any person other than JPS to access, read or reconfigure the Primary Metering System.

All meters and equipment furnished by the Company, shall, unless otherwise expressly provided herein, be and remain the property of the Company and the customer shall protect such property from loss or damage. Meters and equipment may be located inside customer premises, Only an authorized agent of the Company shall be permitted to remove or handle said equipment. SUPPLYING SERVICE Service will not be supplied to any premise if at the time of application for service the applicant is indebted to the Company for service previously supplied at the same or other premise until payment of such indebtedness shall have been made or contractually agreed to. Unpaid balances of previously rendered Final Bills may be transferred to the new or same premise and included on initial or subsequent bills.
