Overview of role Xxxxxx Mission’s Family and Community Workers are funded by the Department of Communities and Justice under the Targeted Earlier Intervention program. Family and Community Workers will provide a universal, early intervention service providing early engagement activities through to a quality case work model. All programs will be underpinned by evidence informed principles and work with the Targeted Earlier Intervention framework.

Overview of role This position will be responsible for delivering theraputic counselling support to individuals, families and significant others in order to assist in reducing the negative effects of problem gambling. In addition to face to face counselling , this position will also require the counsellor to raise community awareness of problem gambling issues and provide services through promotional and educational activities. This position works in accordance with SCHADS 4 characteristics (attachment A) 4. Relationships Reports to: Team Leader, gambling counselling

Overview of role Young Healthy Minds program is funded by Department of Social Services to provide a tailored service to meet the needs of each child, young person and family so they can build the skills and confidence they need to achieve their goals. Our service is based out of Newcastle and includes:  Brief, short term early interventions with young people and their families  information, referral and brief assistance  locally tailored partnerships  community-based care consultation and outreach to local service providers who need mental health input to their work with families.  Engaging young people to actively participate in the creation of Youth Reference Group and facilitating young people to have an authentic voice throughout the process  Facilitation of groups within the school systems in response to community need The Child and Youth Family Support Worker will provide service via groups and one-on-one short term interventions to children and youth who are exploring their identity, cultural connections and the role of mental health in their lives. This person will also be responsible for setting up and facilitating the Xxxxxx Youth Reference Group and ensuring the voice of participants and community are woven throughout service.

  • Residence Community Living Standards The Residence Community Living Standards (“RCLS”) forms a part of this Agreement. It details the rights, responsibilities, and privileges of Residents as well as the residence conduct process. Each Resident is responsible for reading, understanding, and adhering to the terms outlined within the RCLS. The Manager and the Institution may amend the terms of the RCLS from time to time and may post the amendments in the Residence. Failure to abide by the RCLS may result in eviction from Residence and termination of this Agreement as per the violations and sanctions outlined in the RCLS, and as stated in section 8.01(d).   • SECTION 109 OF THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974 The Contractor shall comply with the provisions of Section 109 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974. No person in the United States shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity funded in whole or in part with funds made available under this title. Section 109 further provides that discrimination on the basis of age under the Age Discrimination Act of 1975 or with respect to an otherwise qualified handicapped individual as provided in Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, is prohibited.

  • Family Care Employees may use vacation leave for care of family members as required by the Family Care Act, WAC 296-130.

  • Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA Employees that have been employed for at least one year and have worked at least 1,250 hours the previous year, and are eligible for covered FMLA leave for the serious health condition of the employee, or for the care of the employee’s spouse, parent or dependent child for a serious health condition, will continue to receive health benefits for up to twelve (12) weeks while on unpaid leave in compliance with the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993.

  • Family Care and Medical Leave An unpaid Family Care and Medical Leave shall be granted, to the extent of and subject to the restrictions as set forth below, to an employee who has been employed for at least twelve (12) months and who has served for one hundred thirty days (130) workdays during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the effective date of the leave. For purposes of this section, furlough days and days worked during off-basis time shall count as "workdays". Family Care and Medical Leave absences of twenty (20) consecutive working days or less can be granted by the immediate administrator or designee. Leaves of twenty (20) or more consecutive working days can be granted only by submission of a formal leave application to the Classified Personnel Assignments Branch.
