Overtime Schedule. A. OVERTIME PAY Any person, with permission from his/her immediate supervisor, who works in excess of forty (40) hours per week shall be paid at a rate of one and one-half times his/her regular hourly rate for each hour he/she worked overtime hours. An employee called in for overtime shall be guaranteed at least two (2) hours pay at the overtime rate.

Overtime Schedule. The City shall not schedule employees outside normal work hours solely for the purpose of avoiding the payment of overtime. The City reserves the right to alter work schedules and reporting times of employees to provide sufficient qualified and capable employees to meet emergencies or to perform duties which cannot reasonably be performed during the normal working hours. Any pre-scheduled overtime shall be scheduled by using the current call in-list. Once manpower needs are filled, the next call-in event will start with the next person on the list.

Overtime Schedule. A. The Employer shall equalize the overtime as equally as possible among employees in the same classification in their buildings. An up-to-date list showing overtime hours will be maintained and posted bi-weekly on appropriate bulletin boards. Whenever overtime is required, the person with the least number of overtime hours in that classification and within his/her building will be called first, and so on down the list in an attempt to equalize the overtime hours. Time not worked because the employee was unavailable or did not choose to work will be charged the hours worked for that call-out period, except for employees on vacation, sick leave, etc. Each fiscal year, the overtime hours will start over.
